The snus commission is an independent commission that produces reports on issues connected to Swedish snus. The commission is financed by the Swedish Snuff Manufacturers’ Association, an association of companies in Sweden that manufacture, market and sell snus. However, the Commission’s conclusions are independent of its funders, and these have therefore also not had the opportunity to participate in meetings or to comment on the content of the reports.
